Florence, 76, of Bardstown, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2019, at Landmark of Bardstown. He was born Oct. 17, 1942, in Nelson County. He was retired from the Nelson County School System as a maintenance workerJAMES V. FLORENCEHe was preceded in death by his father, Barker W. Florence.He is survived by his wife, Patricia Fogle Florence of Bardstown; one daughter; Priscilla Roll; one stepdaughter, Jessica Fogle of Bardstown; two sons, James Q. Florence and Phillip E. Florence, both of Indiana; his mother, Gladys Florence; two sisters, Sharon Florence (Max) Edlin of Lyon Station and Patty (Wayne) Barnes of New Haven; one brother, Ronald (Leigh Anne) Florence of Perryville; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.The funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Barlow Funeral Home with cremation to follow.
